The only drawback is that it requires a 60-watt bulb, which is incredibly bright for such a compact lamp. I often have to tilt the lamp downwards, similar to how one would position a ceiling or living room lamp, to avoid straining my eyes. In my opinion, a 60-watt bulb is too intense for a small workspace. Overall, the lamp is well constructed.
