Additionally, the clamp mechanism is poorly designed, making it hard to secure the lamp to my desk without it wobbling.

The advertised “eye-caring” aspect is questionable; I found the light glaring and uncomfortable for extended use. I received this light about a week ago and immediately attached it to my large puzzle table (approximately 4’x3′). It has been incredibly helpful. The construction feels solid, and the total arm length is fantastic. The combination of the stiff upright section and the flexible part allows me to position the light out of the way while still illuminating the board effectively. I also appreciate how unobtrusive and neat it looks, and it clamps easily onto my 3/4″ plywood table without taking up valuable surface space, unlike many lamp bases. Since I designed my table to be adjustable, slanting it can cause traditional lamps to slide off, but this one stays put. The flexible arm is the best I’ve encountered—easy to adjust to the perfect angle at any moment. The light bar is attached to the flex arm with a ball joint, making it simple to direct the light exactly where I need it, preventing glare on the puzzle pieces. Additionally, the ability to change the light color is a great feature, especially as the room’s lighting shifts throughout the day. I often find myself working on puzzles well into the night, so this flexibility is a big plus. Just a heads up, it comes with a USB cord but no AC adapter. Luckily, I have plenty of those from old devices, so it wasn’t an issue for me. Overall, I highly recommend this light! Now, I’ll see how it holds up over time, but I’m confident it will last, as it seems like a solid product that meets my needs perfectly.

I want to start by saying that I really like this lamp. It serves its purpose perfectly by providing ample light to my desk without creating glare on my computer screen. I appreciate the ability to adjust both the brightness and color of the light.
As for assembly, it was quite straightforward. I love that I can clamp it to my desk, saving valuable space since my desk is on the smaller side. However, the control and cord setup could use some improvement. I ended up using the small clamps included to run the cord up top for easier access to the controls. While it works, it doesn’t look very tidy, which is why I rated it four stars instead of five.
Overall, I’m pleased with the lamp, but there’s a downside. I’ve noticed that when I keep it on the brightest setting for an extended period, it shuts off. The left side of the lamp gets quite hot, which I suspect is the reason for the shutdown. Once it cools down, I can turn it back on. To avoid this issue, I try to limit the time on the highest setting or opt for one of the lower settings that still provide comfortable reading light.
I’ve seen other reviews mention this problem, attributing it to the adapter. My lamp is plugged into a USB port of another lamp on my desk, which might be a factor. Still, I believe the light itself gets too hot at the highest setting. Using a lower brightness seems to solve the problem for me.
