The remote functions effectively and offers a variety of lighting options, and syncing it with the lamp was a breeze. Positioned in a corner, it provides ideal illumination for both general and reading purposes. I just set it up in my room yesterday, so I donât have long-term experience with it yet, but I anticipate potential issues down the line.

This dimmer lamp is not only stylish but also well-constructed, featuring a sturdy, heavy base. Assembly takes about 10 minutes, and I opted for the single mast “modern” design. While there are other similar lamps, many have longer shades that I find less appealing. The 11.75-inch shade on this lamp is just right.
The instructions suggest folding and tucking the excess cord between the top of the lamp and the lower mast segment upon assembly. Although it’s manageable, it feels a bit unusual due to the dimmer. The downside is that as you screw on the top mast, you’re twisting the wire you’ve tucked in, which can stress the bulb assembly. In my case, it disconnected entirely. The plastic connections snap into place in two spots, but they aren’t designed for a permanent fit, which seems like an oversight since there’s no reason to access the wiring once it’s assembled. Additionally, because the shade screws onto the socket, itâs heavy enough that contact can easily dislodge the socket assembly, causing the shade to hang at an awkward angle until itâs reattached. My cat nudged the shade, and it popped out again. This issue can be easily remedied by applying a strong glue around the socket assembly; once it dries, it stays put.
Despite this minor inconvenience, I would highly recommend this lamp. It adds a lovely touch to any space, whether placed behind a chair or standing alone.

I also discovered it came with a light bulb, which I overlooked in the description. I’m extremely satisfied with this purchase, and I love the convenient step turn on and off feature.
