While the lamp heads can pivot, I found that angling the light toward the room’s center made it uncomfortable to look back at those corners with the tilted lamp heads. However, pointing the lamps straight up provided ample light in the room without causing eye strain. My wife and I are thrilled with these floor lamps; they have surpassed our expectations in quality, ease of setup, sturdiness, aesthetics, usability, and brightness.
