I was quite disappointed when I received this lamp. The assembly instructions consisted solely of pictures with numbers, which was confusing. When it came to setting up the bulb and remote, the instructions simply said to power on the lamp, turn it on, and then press the remote’s on button three times within five seconds. I assumed “powering on” meant plugging it into an outlet. Once I finally managed to turn on the bulb to pair it, it just flashed bright three times and then dimmed once, repeating this sequence. I tried following the pairing and unpairing instructions, but the bulb continued to flash without any progress. Thereās no way to contact the manufacturer for help; the only options are to return the defective unit for a replacement or a full refund. I opted for a replacement, but itāll take another seven days to arrive. If I had known that the assistance process would take so long, I would have just returned it for a refund and bought a different lamp at Target or Walmart. In my opinion, both the manufacturer/seller and Amazon’s customer service have completely failed. I hope the replacement unit works better.

The remote’s battery cover did break, but a bit of tape fixed itājust be careful not to drop it! š The lights are impressive, featuring a variety of colors and a fun “rave mode” with quick flashing. The remote is easy to use, and assembly and disassembly of the lamp were a breeze. It worked perfectly in my bedroom, but in my office, the light didn’t distribute as well. It’s definitely more effective in smaller rooms.

The light bulb is fantastic, even though it doesn’t get extremely bright. I appreciate being able to adjust both the light temperature and color. It’s such a neat bulbāalmost worth the full $30! The lamp itself is decent; I really like the foot switch and the remote-controlled feature. However, I find the lampshade to be the ugliest I’ve ever seen! The first photo shows the lamp I ordered, while the second shows the shade I hoped to match.
I’ve never had to assemble a lampshade before, and the clips for attaching it to the ring need adjusting just to fit properly. Now, if I move the lamp, the shade tends to fall off the ring. You can clearly see the unattractive clips. Comparing it to the other shades on my table lamps (which were also quite affordable), it’s a disappointment. I’m definitely replacing this shade. I want to keep the bulb and stand, but this shade has got to go!
